Super Bowl Bound! Pats Defeat Chargers 21-12

Oh man, it was ugly, it was obscene, but it worked. Tom terrific wasn’t living up to his nickname as he threw three, yes, three interceptions including one in the end zone. But luckily the New England Patriots are more than just Tom Brady. Maroney looked like a he was covered in grease when the way he was tip toeing by defenders.
The big story however is on the otherside of the ball. The Patriots defensive unit had a supurb game and did not allow the Chargers to get one single touchdown. If there is one thing that a team needs to win a Super Bowl, it’s a rock solid defensive unit, and the Patriots have just that. Not to mention that the Patriots have already beaten the Giants once this season, all they have to do is do it one more time and it’s 19-0.
(Next season we can do it again and be the first team to go 38-0 in two seasons. What do ya think?)
Perfection!

In case you didn’t know, Tom Brady is the record holder for most TDs thrown in a season, Randy Moss is the record holder for most TD receptions in a season, oh and by the way, they didn’t lose a game.
My cousin came to my house at 10 AM to go to the Pats game. “Here, I brought Welker for you” he said to me holding up a Welker jersey. But this was no time to change up jerseys. I put on my Blue #12 as we got into the car to make the Journey from Massachusetts to New Jersey.
The journey was long, the tailgaters were ugly and drunk, and it smelt like the mixture of trash and burning tar that you can only find in New Jersey. When we walked into Giants Stadium we were barraged with insults and chants of “15 and 1 ain’t so bad!”
It was a close back and forth battle in the first half and the Patriots started the second half trailing 16-21. Maroney was running like a man with bricks for shoes as he kept seemly getting stopped every attempt, but he redeemed himself when the Pats were down by 12 in the 3rd with a 6 yard touchdown run putting the game within a touchdown.
In the fourth quarter with the Pats down by 5, Brady launches a deep ball to Moss, but it was under thrown and the ball bounced off right off his hands. The drunken Giants fan starts rubbing my head saying “it’s ok Patriots, its ok.” At least thats what I think he said. (Its hard to understand someone after their 12th seven dollar and 50 cent bud light. But the stadium went silent when on the very next play, Brady chucked another deep one to Moss, except this time, it hits him right in stride and he marches in for the 65 yard TD reception that marked both him and Brady as the sole possessors of their respective TD records. The Giants get one more TD before it’s over, but it does not matter as the Pats take a knee for the win.
16-0…history. 19-0 still ahead.
Pats Beat Dolphins 28-7, One Game from Perfection

When you have a juggernaut like the New England Patriots, critics will always be looking for a chink in the armor. One recurring complaint I keep hearing on talk radio when trying to find said weakness in the Pats seemingly unflappable armor is the supposed lack of a running game. P.S., it just isn’t true folks. Our star sophomore running back, Laurence Maroney, went 12th century on the Dolphin’s defense, as he rushed for an astonishing 156 yards averaging 11.1 yards per carry.
Next week at Giants Stadium, Patriots have the opportunity to be only the second team in NFL history to go undefeated in the regular season.
Pats beat Jets, Two Games from Perfect

For the first time this season, Tom Brady did not throw a touchdown pass, but that didn’t stop the Pats from rolling over the Jets twenty to ten. The steel and blue stepped it up on other fronts to make up for the lack of a passing game as the defense added yet another interception return for a touchdown and Laurence Maroney rushed for 104 yards.
Only the Dolphins and Giants left until we can officially call the Patriots perfect.
Pats Rip Through Steelers’ #1 Defense, Remaining Undefeated

For those of you that doubted the Pats because of the last few close games, doubt no more. The Patriots are back in championship form as Tom Brady leads the Patriots with 399 passing yards and 4 touchdowns as the Patriots walk all over the Steelers, 34-13.
Some are calling this year’s Patriots the best team of all time. Montana to Rice? How bout Brady to Moss. The undefeated season looks like it’s going to happen, and if the Patriots do it, it’s going to be hard to argue for a better team than the 2007 New England Patriots.
Finally, who can forget about the upcoming playoffs. In some casinos, if you bet a dollar for the Patriots to win the Super Bowl, you win a quarter. That’s as close to a sure thing as you’ll ever find in sports. But Forgetting the Super Bowl, I just can’t wait for the playoffs when the Pats get to beat up on the Colts in the AFC Championship game.

For the second week in a row, the Pats give their fans a scare, but come out on top. At the tail end of the fourth quarter with the Patriots down by four, Tom Brady leads the squad down the field and goes ahead for the win with less than a minute to play. (This is after two fourth down conversions and a near interception in the end zone.)
I don’t know why the Pats are struggling against these mediocre teams at the end of the year, but hopefully they’ll be back in championship indestructible mode by the time the playoffs roll around.
(By the way, we still have the perfect season going in case you’ve forgotten.)
Eagles Make it Close, but Come up Short as the Streak Continues

It was late in the fourth quarter, the score 31-28 Patriots, A.J. Feeley had the ball at the 29 yard line, and goes back….way back…….END ZONE! It’s…..INTERCEPTED!!!! I had almost forgotten what it was like to be biting your fingernails in the fourth quarter; after all, the Pats have been brutalizing basically every team they’ve faced the entire season.
What does this mean? Are we not as invincible as we think? How can a team like the Eagles make the game this close if we are truly the juggernauts of NFL football? Belichick better be able to get this team together and back in brutalizing mode if we want to win the Super Bowl this year.
All this being said, the fact remains that the Patriots are still undefeated and are still the best team in the NFL. Hopefully, this Sunday was a fluke and we can get back to annihilating the rest of the league next Sunday, ‘cause I like my wins like Peyton Manning likes his women, lopsided, boring, and easy.
Patriots Destroy Division “Rival” Bills, 56-10

In case you have been living in a cave for the past eleven weeks, I’ll give you the one sentence summary: Patriots are the best team in football, bar none. The game summary is the same as the last 10 games, Brady goes through defense like it was butter, Randy Moss has a ridiculous number of touchdown catches, (4 this time), and the Patriot defense forces a bunch of turnovers, ect.
When the first place team in a division beats the second place team by 46 points, there is no competition within the division. The playoff race is officially a joke. Who knows how many years it will take for anybody in the East to be able to come close to beating, hell, even come close to not embarrassing themselves, when the play the unstoppable force that is the New England Patriots.

Patriots Put Down Colts in Game of the Year

Yes, the Patriots are back in championship form it appears after Sundays defeat of who some people called the best team in the NFL, the Indianapolis Colts. The referees couldn’t stop Brady and company, even with the hometown referees sticking the Pats with a franchise record for penalty yards, including a few controversial pass interference calls that led more than a few Pats fans to question whether or not the referees were going to even let the Blue and Silver have a chance in that most unholy of places.
As Manning was pouting and pounding the ground after he threw the last interception/fumble/what-the-hell-was-that-supposed-to-be, I couldn’t help but to think about the Patriots running the table and becoming the second team to obtain that ever so elusive perfect season. Most experts will agree when I say that here is no other team for the rest of the entire year that can even pretend to be able to match up to the juggernaut that is the New England Patriots, so as long as we play mistake free football, and Tom Brady avoids motorcycles, basketball, pick up rugby, and bullfighting, there is absolutely no reason that New England should not go undefeated in 2007.
